Anyone after some cheap mods?

Featured Replies

Intercoolers.

Looks like Airtec are branching out into the VAG brand now with intercoolers. http://www.autospeci...ategory-89.htmlFor guys around esex that are interested it might be worth an email to see if they need a development car for the 1.4TSI. All you need to do is highlight that the Polo/A1/vRS etc all share the same parts so its good for future sales. They seem cheap enough, so with some savings for being the development car you could net your self a bargain.

Might be worth a try with Pro Alloy, Radtech and THS. You never know, you might get lucky. These guys seemed very interested back along when i was enquiring about my car. I went with Pace in the end as i liked the intercooler/radiator option more.

Intakes.

Also, i was in talks with J1automotive about them using my car to develop an intake. They were abit to far away for me, but might be interested again if theres someone local to them in somerset http://www.j1automot...k/services.html They do some really nice looking kits for other cars.

Something like this to replace the std intake box would be great with some air feeds into it

Handling

Morego were interested in developing stuff as well. I was asking after different wishbones, but im going the top moun route instead for additional camber instead. These guys do maps, suspension packages etc so could be a good route into some cheap development work

Thought you guys might be interested as i have all my stuff sorted now

Nice post Sy, could be very useful for some members :)

Nonono i have a holiday to save for :( definetly need an intercooler though

Nice, I look forward to seeing a neater solution than the one of itg

any of those companies based anywhere near scotland?:D

I've spoken with airtec and was guna use my car but dont have the garage space to do it anytime soon. Looking summer time atleast. Maybe if my plans with pro alloy don't work I'll still use them.

I'm in talks with J1 Automotive now. They seem pretty positive. Will keep you guys up to date.

In the mean time if you have any requests, concerns or questions you would like me to pass on, feel free to let me know.
