I just want a way to get a slight increase in power on my 1.2 HTP before I get my 1.8 Turbo Audi lump. I am only looking to make it a bit more nippy as such.

Just wait until you get a 1.8T.... Why waste your money?

Just the usual things id imagine....

Cut the cat out and change the backbox, or get a typical sports/racing exhaust such as milltek.

Drill the airbox and put a better filter in, or get

an induction kit.

Service with new filters, oil and plugs, or upgrade to better plugs such as iridium type.

Use better fuels?

Remap for little gain maybe?

At the end of the day imo its just a soft small engine for going to the shops and what not.... With any performance added to these engines your running the risk of damaging other parts.
