Slight dip in power

Featured Replies

Hi guys!, So I've had the fabia remapped when it was done it felt alot better! But after a while I know you get used to it but it seems to have a slight lack compared to what it used to have and I can also tell heads up against my friends gti180 206 it's changed. Now I've checked my air filter and it's really mucky could this be causing this slight dip in power and would it be better to change it for a knN panel filter?? Cheers Ollie!

It is well known fact that ALL diesel engines are very sensitive to dirty air, so if your air filter is "mucky" as you have said, yes it will affect your performance.

Aaahhh thank you!! I will change it promptly hopefully will see and improvement :) next stop coilies and a cat back!

How long ago did you have the remap done?If it was in the winter month's you will find that due to the warmer temp's as of late, you will start to suffer heat soak issue's with the normal SMIC thus causing a lack or drop in power.
