New Arrival....

Featured Replies

So after 10 years of "MINI Adventures" The abominable Skoda has arrived.....

It's been a long day, cycled 10 miles to the dealer and then returned 2 hours later with my trade in. We had probably the longest handover (about 2+1/2 hours) in history as we all learned exactly how Skoda's hydraulic bike lifts are adjusted and operate! So well done Trans CIty.

Have done a bit of driving 58 miles visting friends and family and got 30 overal MPG not bad for a 2.0L 4x4 considering London bank holiday traffic.

Already have somes loves - Ease of use of the MDC, Bolero Touch Screen

Somes hates - Why no DAB, do you know how many pirate stations break into your FM reception

And perplexing - Why does the radio connect to my iphone and then play everything in aphabetical order only

Looks great, drives and handles really well so far on the 16" Moon Alloys, dual climate control is blissful and the sun roof is FAB

Park assit is unnerving in that it seems to park about 2mm away from the kerb probably beacuse they are quite low in our street.

Looking forward to discovering it's much talked about and discussed talents as well as some more "off piste" Yeti Adventures.

Creoso.

I hope you're going to change your name! :giggle:

Glad to hear you like your new Monster and that you have the 16" 'upgrade' :)

Congratulations, but could I see a photo of the Yeti with its 16" wheels, please? I'd like to see how it looks aesthetically.

Congrats on the new car. How sobering it must be for you to finally have a REAL interior instead of the "Fisher Price plastic toy interior for children" that all MINIs sport. :giggle:

As to Park Assist: it cannot ever measure the kerb, in fact it has NO idea where the kerb is! All PA uses is the edge of the two cars you're parking between as a guide. If both of them have their inner wheels over the kerb (or both cars are much narrower than your Yeti) you will ALSO end up on the kerb. Be warned. My PA has never ever parked me on the kerb I have to say, but just keep in eye out for how the cars are parked that you are using as a guide for the PA before kerbing your (baby) alloys.

Happy Monstering!

At last the beast has arrived at the dealers after a 5 month wait-- collect on Friday the 13th!

110SE 4x4 aqua blue with tow bar prep, auto lights, off road, spare wheel--in view of the date I'll have to drive extra carefully to collect it--wish me luck

Any suggestions for names?
