Hi all , I recently got my mk1 oct vrs . I noticed when I got it then when working the central locking now of the indicators flash . Can anyone tell me if they should or are they made this way. The locking all works fine but just no lights.

When you lock it does the red led start to flash?

yeah once its locked the red led next to the door pin flashes

Think you can turn the flashing on and off using vcds software

Ah ok i was just curious . The light flashes and everything locks etc and I just thought it was strange that the lights didn't flash

Ive noticed that the lights dont flash on my mk 1 all the time either when i lock it, unless i hit the fob twice... other times it does flash the lights. tis just a VAG gremlin lurking in the Octy...

I have an 04 Oct the lights flash and the cental locking works exept for the drivers door any one any ideas as to what it is before I take the door to bits?

Search the forum, ive heard about this before... I believe, iirc, that a dying battery in a keyfob can make this happen. if not, then its tie to take the door apart...
