Beetle Rsi

Featured Replies

As far as we can think this must be the rarest production car in the UK unless anyone else can think of a car with only 1 currently in the UK? :thumb:

Link to how many left http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/volkswagen_beetle_v6_rsi

Only 250 were made all left hand drive and only available in Germany so it was up to UK dealers to import them to sell and put on a forecourt for £50,000 :doublesho:

I am fully aware that there are many haters of the Beetle so please keep your comments to yourself. I myself am not a fan of the generic beetle shape however this car is not a normal beetle by any means. Honestly if you ever get the chance to look around one take it as you soon see why they were £50k. The attention to detail and amount of REAL carbon fibre around the car is untrue.

I unfortunately didn't get any 'real' interior shots of the full alcantara headlining and repositioned stereo due to the dials where it normally would be. This was down to the fact the owner wanted this back the same day so attention was spent on the outside mainly.

So here goes there's lots of pics but i think this car deserves them :thumb:

On arrival the car was very very clean already a credit to the owner and the fact it lives inside so a quick walk round inspection to see what lay ahead

The car had recently a a little break upgrade. The car belongs to my boss and when he heard i was stripping my Skoda Octavia VRS he snapped my hand off to get these Porsche Cayenne 6 Pot brembos for his Rsi

Dirty Arches

Which was left to do its thing for about 10 mins as the sun was out (kind of)

Whilst the foam was dwelling i cleaned the wheels with Autosmart Smart Wheels through a foaming head and using Ez large and small brushes and envy brushes to agitate

p><p><img src=

The foam was then rinsed off to reveal a super clean looking car

Upon closer inspection it was evident of a high level of fall out contamination on the roof but only on the roof which i thought strange, but the bonnet and boot had received a respray in the last 12 months when my boss bought the car so it must have been sat in the paint for a while.

p><p><img src=

I went round the rest of the car with the Purple Rain as a precaution but nothing was removed.

:wall: so clayed the roof which removed more particles, some remained and have said i will re do the roof in the near future.

The car was washed with Auto Finesse Lather my current favourite shampoo

p><p><img src=

No tar at all on this car maybe due to the Huge arches catching it all so they were soaked in Tardis

The car was then re-foamed and washed to remove all cleaning agents

The car was then pulled inside which although being very awkward being left hand drive and basically bucket seats was a pleasure as the noise these make is epic.

Scratch on bonnet seen here in reflection of roof light

Swirls on bonnet to be removed

Here the bonnet has been machined and the wings also tickled with Blue top 3M and a Blue pad. The front bumper was done by hand using Auto Finesse Rejuvenate

p><p><img src=

p><p><img src=

Scratch/mark on rear bumper removed with Dodo Juice Lime Prime

p><p><img src=

The B pillars were highly swirled and scratched so these were treated to a whiz over with Blue 3M on Blue pad. Not full correction as deep scratches were left as didn't want to remove too much in case they became damaged

Before

Once the machine work was finished the car was then treated to 2 coats of Zaino Z2 applied by hand as the car being silver i think react better to sealants rather than waxes and being a proper weekend toy kept in the garage a sealant should give the owner a better 'quick wash down' experience.

All trim was treated to Auto Finesse Revive

Tyres and arches treated to Autosmart Highstyle

Glass Polished with Dodo glass polish and then wiped down with Glass cleaner

Interior was wiped over with Iz Cockpit shine

Leather cleaned up with Auto Finesse Hide Cleaner

No pics of above as time was pressing on sorry. Will get some in the near future as i think i will be seeing this car again during summer :thumb:

So now the final pictures of the car, the sun had decided to not play ball today so some inside under the lights and a few outside as the owner returned to collect the car

Inside

Car was then covered up to protect from any dust that may settle on teh paint wainting for the customer (my boss ) to turn up
