knocking or clicking noise?

Featured Replies

Ive just came back from a 200 mile round trip on A roads( read, S***) at decent speeds ;) and I have noticed a click , knocking noise from the front of the car. Ive previously changed all arm bushes , ARB bushes and links very recently and noticed what an improvement it made to handling and steering feel etc , but is it possible that ive upset something else now doing this ?

The dogbone mount I changed around 25000 miles ago as it was totally and utterly destroyed. Where else should I look ? Under battery mount ? Right hand mount ? Is there a video showing normal engine movement ? - This is whats making me think that its a mount of some sort.. The noise/ click only happens at slow speeds with a fair bit of steering applied but also on letting clutch out in 1st and 2nd gear ? It doesn't happen every time .

Thanks in advance

Graeme

Drop links make a kind of ticking clicking noise when they fail.. I've had one go loose, and and another seize stiff over the last 40k. Big bumps didn't cause it... more apparent over rough un even road surfaces.
