Covered door pillars

Featured Replies

On my 54 plate vRS the door pillar have previously been covered in black vinyl...To give the vw golf look. As pictured below :

What would be underneath? Would it be red?

Thanks

I reckon so mate. It may be hiding some sort of damage though... :wonder:

Was thinking about taking it off and having a sneak peak with it being red for a while...hmmm

Ps starting to wish i had that coloured alloys again! haha

Yeah they will be red underneath mate. My car had them when I bought it but I got the dealer to remove them for me, I've since put them back on....

Looks better like that anyway.

Leave em there. ;)

Does anyone have any pics of a red one without the black covers? Would be good to see!

in my opinion i think it looks better with the covers, makes it look a little more sleek with the red roof line going unbroken from front to back.

also what youve gotta think about is if theyve had the covers on for a lon gtime, the colour may have faded on the rest of the car and the covered part has stayed the same, may look a bit odd.

I've got the proper Skoda kit to apply at some stage. I think it looks loads better with black B pillars, as gives that nice floating roof look.

It will def be red underneath, as above.

Personally i'd stick with the vinyl unless it's in poor condition for all the reasons mentioned already :)
