someone said the jvc units are good also you got to buy a kit i think then ask skoda to fit it in so there is more to this than you think

Its fairly straigh forward plug and play once you get a quadlock to iso conversion lead. I fitted my old handsfree this way in the fabia and everything works fine. No chopping of wires just a straight converion and loop between the wiring loam an the factory radio. Should be much the same if you get a different car cd iso type.

hi pete, you need a quad lock to iso adapter cable, the aerial lead and a surround to make the aftemarket unit fit into the weird shape, it's the same as a golf mark 5. these bits will only cost a few quid off ebay, skoda do sell them but it's a lot more

those chinese units are crap.if you dont want a space underneath you need a double din hu, i think you can get ones that are exactly te same shape so look oem.

is it just dvd you want, you'll need to get a screen or one with bulit in screen. not cheap for decent ones. an altenative solution is keep the oem hu and plug in the sound via the aux in so get the sound come throught the car speakers, it will work but don't expect a cinema... you can have a demo in mine if you want..maybe you can live with a single din and extra storage space underneath
