Have looked just about everywhere online for the new model type door mirror to update the look of my 58 plate vrs tdi, unfortunately without any success. They must be available from somewhere? Any suggestions would be warmly received. would like the auto-fold type if available.

Also would like to look into the possibility of retro-fitting cruise control, headlamp washers and the new type infotainment display. Probably cost-prohibitive but would like to know the likelihood of being able to do this all-the-same

I was just looking at Awesome GTi  website. They will retro fit cruise control for 150 quid.

Unless you buy new then you'll struggle to find the facelift wing mirrors let alone electrically foldable ones. For the folding function you'll need a new switch, wiring and coding at the very least.

The headlight washers will require taking the bumper off and cutting the openings, assuming the fixing points for the extendable washer jets are already in place behind the bumper, if not it'll be a complete new front bumper. You'll also need the caps and they'll need painting. You need the larger capacity washer bottle and again they'll need coding so that they activate when the windscreen washers are on with the headlights turned on.

Cruise control and 'Maxidot' are fairly simple and cost effective retrofits. There are plenty of threads to search for.

There are a few on eBay but they go for quite a lot.

£120 x 2 + painting = a lot for larger wing mirrors.
