Hello Briskoda ,

Finally got round to posting; waited for the trade in at the local Skoda dealer.

Everybody I know said to me what will you replace the Golf with? I have always had a soft spot for and admire sleeper/Q-cars. I like the Octavia vrs for its sleeper looks and performance + the Hampshire Police like to use them so they cant be bad.

We have two kids so a bigger boot is a necessity for us, I managed to and "reliably informed" my missus that a 200PS GTI engine and running gear in the Octavia vrs estate, would be an advantage whilst going about our everyday business; not forgetting enjoying the thrills of driving when both kids are at the in laws!!

The deal has been done (shake-sign-shake) and we take delivery in 9-12 weeks. Will post a few pictures when it arrives.

Still thinking about and would appreciate any thoughs positive/negative with regards to SmartGuard??

I have personally always had my car(s) done but then had a good detail treatment done to eliminate any issues I'm not happy with. Baker21 posts alot within the Styling and Car Care section - He is a very good friend who did my golf above!

I used to own a Saxo vtr and once spent over eight hours cleaning/detailing it (paint cleaner, polish and waxing etc), for my neighbour to come out and cut the front grass! - I was not best pleased to say the least!

I think we will go ahead and treat the vrs to some SmartGuard.
