Road Angel?

Featured Replies

I am seriously considering buying a new Road Angel for my Furby vRS. Is this a good buy, or are there better alternatives available out there?

Opinions and suggestions would be well appreciated.

Cheers.

Yes, definately a gr8 buy. Its saved my license a few times and therefore paid for itself. Only problem is that after 6months of use you will have to pay

I recently bought one & it's definitely saved me from a few Truvelos (sp?).

The only thing I'm a little disappointed with is that it keeps having a paddy even if you are well within the speed limits approching and passing cameras. Even in 2mph traffic..... I've stopped using mine on the way to and from work as the constant beeping gets on my wick. I go through 7 cameras on my 10 mile drive :o

If it took account of your current speed & just beeped a couple of times as a warning if you're within the limit, it would be pretty much perfect IMO.

I bought one six months ago after getting two SP30s - though the RA2 would only have worked with the second SP30 (more later).

I paid

apparently Argos had them on special offer over Easter at

Yes awesome get one  - have had mine for about a year and a half and it has paid for itself a number of times.

Not sure what the real advantage of the 'new' Road Angel is over the 'classic' apart from the blue screen but IMHO the classic does the job well and you can get if from halfords for about

Had one for a couple of weeks, very impressed, hasn't missed anything yet, and once you get the settings how you want it they are very good. Well worth the cash IMO. I also have a snooper 815is for Radar stuff. Also makes you drive safer :)

I think all the GPS based devices are much of a muchness, but the one thing I'm not impressed with is the display quality (RA2). If you mount it low down on the screen-mount you can hardly read it during the day.

I have one and would highly recommend it.

I think the display is a bit too bright for night time use and it cant be adjusted, but thats about it.

thank goodness Tiff Needel's voice can be turned off.

Have an Origin b2 solo and can't fault it but they are all much the same

They are a good idea but like all other ideas for the freedom loving type the government is making them illegal.
