Hi Guys,

My brakes are much softer all of a sudden and they require pressing 1/3 of the way down before starting to bite, whereas before they bit at the top. Co-incidently (or not so co-incidently) my handbrake now doesn't bite until half way up (it started a couple of days after i noticed the foot brake problem).

Is this just co-incidence and i need new pads and a tighten of the handbrake, or could potentially both be related?

There's no grating from the brakes at all

Have you checked the fluid level? A sudden change like that normally isn't wear related, if it were it would be quite gradual.

Thanks for the response. I've checked that and it's fine, I'm guessing it's a coincidence and will just have to get it in the garage
