Radio Button Needing Replacement / Refurb

Featured Replies

Only a small problem but one that is really getting at me :@

My car has the Skoda Dance radio fitted and the eject button is quite deeply scratched and scuffed. Also the edges of the CD drive are pretty roughed up.

I can't seem to find replacement buttons anywhere and haven't yet risked removing mine. Is it possible to buy new buttons from anywhere?

If not, can single buttons be removed as I will have to do this and perhaps plastidip and re-sticker/ transfer the button.

Are complete new fronts available for these radios (just the surround and buttons, no screen etc)?

Really want to get this sorted as it angers me more than anything else on the car :p

Thanks

I've never seen any buttons sold separately  for any radio unit. You could always ask the dealership but I have a suspicion they will not be able to help. :(

Looks like I'm going to have to resort to buying a new unit then :( At least I can sell on my old one this way.

Would I have to buy a working one and replace the entire radio unit or is the face interchangeable so I can leave the main part of my radio in?

Thanks again

Or you can get a Swing maybe...

Or you can get a Swing maybe...

Are the 2 radios the same size so this would be a like for like swap or are some modifications/ adjustments needed?

Also, were 09 Fabias available with this radio or would I be adding a later version which won't match the rest of my interior/ dash?

Would I have to buy a working one and replace the entire radio unit or is the face interchangeable so I can leave the main part of my radio in?

Do the faces/ surrounds with the buttons on come off or would I need to change the entire unit which I imagine means finding a radio code for the new one I buy?

Sorry but I am pretty clueless on this subject and don't know if the whole unit or just the front plastic part can be changed.

Thanks again

You can directly swap, same size, same fixings and plugs.

In my country Swing radios are cheap on second hand webshops, because people buy Amundsen, Columbus or RNS and they sell the stock one ;)
