Spline size for fabia hub to remove springs?

Featured Replies

Done a few searches and all i can find is that i need a 14mm spline socket, My problem is that all the spline sockets i look at are in M size codes (M10,M12,M13 and so on) Is it just an M14 or is that too simple?

Which bolts/hub area are you talking about? You're trying to remove the hub from the bottom end of the suspension strut?

M14, does mean 14mm spline, but I'm not aware of any spline bolts in that area. Thought they were all hex.

I think it may be that simple! I had to remove a door lock on my Fabia, (M6 spline bit) I tried a torx head bit but this just rounded the screw head on the first one I tried at the scrap yard. I ended up having to buy a set just for one bit!

Defo m14 spline socket, can get them machine Mart 18 quid for a set of 4. Had to get them for mine when fitting coilovers

I got one of the longer ones from amazon for a couple of quid more than that one. The socketed ones. Didn't fancy buying a set from halfrauds for about 20 quid.
