One short question for you:

WHERE is located the contact that turns on/shuts off the luggage compartment light when opening/closing the tailgate ?

I can't find it on car or on Haynes wiring.

just swapped out the boot catch on my felicia last weekend.

the switch is clipped on to the (usually) orange catch, inside the tailgate.

wasn't too much trouble to get to - the interior tailgate padding/door card bit pops off, and there should be a clear plastic sheet covering the cavity - i had to cut this for access, and seal it back up after as best as possible.

there is a bar connecting the lock and the catch which pops off, and three bolts to undo, and the catch should then come out.

the switch which controls the light can be disconnected/removed/re-connected quite easily quite easily (the replacement catch didn't come with the switch).

afraid i don't have any images, but hope that's of some use.
