Hi,

I have just bought a Yeti which has bluetooth fitted. As soon as my son-in-law got in the passenger seat he connected his mobile phone.

Now I get a display between the clock and the mileage indicators which says "No Bluetooth connection to phone". Well I know this because I don't have phone and my son-in-law has not been in the car since.

How do I delete this message?

John

Someone has said that you need another phone connected to be able to delete another pairing.

IIRC to get the "no phone connected" message off the central display you just need to get he display out of phone mode. Without traipsing out to the car in the middle of the night to check, I think you need to press the lower of the two buttons on the right hand spoke of the multi-function steering wheel to get back to the main display.

You say that your son-in-law connected his phone as soon as he got in the passenger seat. But it must be paired with the bluetooth on the car first, and (again IIRC) that means someone must have done something via one of the phone menus, using the controls on the steering wheel, to achieve that. It shouldn't be possible for a random passer-by to connect their phone to the car's bluetooth system without intervention from the driver's seat.

Rockhopper is correct that you need to connect another phone to the car's bluetooth system before you can delete the pairing of one that isn't around any more. If the son-in-law is going to be around again soon then just get him to connect his phone to the car's bluetooth again, then delete its pairing via the phone menus.

Thanks guys.

I had been into the phone menu in the nav. display to delete my son-in-law's pairing or that's what I thought but it didn't remove the message.

ej, I believe you have given me the answer I was looking for.

John
