According to ETOS, bolts for the 17" wheels are M14 x 1.5 x 27.

oem vag wheels are usually radius seating, whereas aftermarket wheels are normally taper seating. Beware of this as the wrong bolts can be a death trap. i.e. not properly seated bolts mean only a little surface is in contact, possibility of wheel(s) coming off.

edit: thanks for showing the pic Big Gray, that is a radius seating where it is curved. imagine if it is straight (taper) going into wheels which accept radius, and vice versa.

unforunately there is no legal requirement for a wheel expert/seller to know this, and not in the MOT test. a good/experienced wheel specialist should know this.
