Potential New Skoda Owner Seeking Advice on High Mileage Fabia

Hi,

I am looking for some advice. I need to purchase a new car since my old Zafira has just been written off. I have eyed up the Fabia Estate as being about right for my family, good boot space but not too big for city parking. I have seen a Fabia Estate Greenline 1.4 TDI PD 80 with a mileage of 197,000 in a local dealer. Its a high mileage but budget is limited. Are there any particular issues with these cars I should be aware of? Any advice gratefully received.

If your going for a high mileage one I would go for the 1.9, that's a awful lot of mileage for a little 1.4

Hi, I recently bought a '22 Kamiq and found that the rear speakers aren't working. When I go to the Sound > Position section of the infotainment screen, I have the cross on the screen and I am able to fade the speakers left to right, however there are no arrows on the vertical axis and you cannot fade the speakers front to back. I have tried a Hard and Factory reset but this does not fix the issue. I have briefly read that maybe this means a wire is bust or a speaker is broken which is cau

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just

Hi. Can someone send me an aliexpress/ Amazon link or OEM part number for the correct plastic door card trim fittings please? I broke a couple when fitting my speakers and there were enough left intact to put the door card back on but I’m planning on removing the door cards again for an upcoming project so it would be handy to have a few spare to replace the missing ones and just in case some more go. Thanks!

Hello there, I finally traded in my beloved 2016 Superb Estate for an SE L IV 1.5 Tsi, (with sunroof, family pack and winter pack (for my arthritic hands which weren’t an issue in 2016 (the car has aged better than me!) Ordered in London in mid April I I was told today car has just been built, and I should receive it some time in July. My first Phev Hoping there won’t be too many delays🙏 Really looking forward to my new car, although will be sad to say goodbye to the old one…. best car I ever
