VRS KW V1 coilovers question..

Featured Replies

I have my VRS with a Neuspeed rear ARB, if i went for KW V1 coilovers as well would it be a good improvement? Also are they around standard height at the front at normal setting as i cant afford to drop much as i have some highish kerbs i need to negoitiate. I am just after a sportier ride really. The ARB has cut most body roll but i'm sure damping could be improved somewhat.

Also is the height easy to adjust on the car. Thanks

Oh and will they need wheels spacers as i see on the KW site it states they may do, and is a 4 wheel alignment necessary.

Lots of questions i know but i want to be sure before i buy, cheers and heres hoping someone has these fitted to theirs :)

I guess no one has these fitted to theirs then :(

KW1 have uprated dampers I assume and are height adjustable.

Don't understand why you would need wheel spacers for as these have nothing to do with the wheels so to speak.

The units will be slimer so if you probably could get away with fitting some wider tyres...if you were so inclinded...probably 235 max e.g no tyre rub on uprights.

I have v1 on my vrs rally with a 55mm drop running on 19s with a 235 section tyre and have no rubbing problems:thumbup:.The ride height will be 10mm lower than standard at it's highest setting and 40mm on lowest setting. The ride quality is superb ok a little bouncy over undulating roads but the road holding far outways that:D.No you won't need spacers as long as you stick to the recommended offset and don't go wider than an 8J wheel.Yes a 4 wheel alignment check is always necessary after any changes to suspension, otherwise you will wear out your tyres in no time:thumbdwn:Another cheap worthwile mod is to fit audi s3 lower and upper braces, these made a huge improvement to my car,it's alot more stable at speed and fantastic steering response/feedback.Do a search on here as it's been covered a few times already.

Hope this helps
