VRS springs

Featured Replies

Hi All

I am after some std MK1 VRS springs as i found out the Springs i have on have been cut and sprayed!!!!!!!!

Can any one help????

Thanks Marko

Keep an eye on the for sale section and ebay.

Other than that you're pretty limited if you want the standard springs, as you can only get them from a Skoda dealer really.

Be very carefull buying springs that claim to be suitable for the RS, but are not genuine Skoda parts. So many people have made the mistake, and had to re-buy from Skoda. For example, if you ring GSF they will quote a spring for your car, but it'll be wrong. Aftermarket companies seem to assume that the Hatchback 1.8T Octavia uses the same springs as the Hatchback RS (1.8T) Octavia. The spring heights and rates are however different.

I've got a set of springs that came off my car at 80k ish. Don't know what posting to Scotland would cost. You are welcome to them though, I will only end up binning them.

Whats your reg? - have you checked online?

Where in scotland are you? Im at dumfries and will have a full set of shocks and springs available in 3 weeks time if your interested?

Good thing is there off my 55 plate with 67k miles (hatchback vrs)

*******s, i knew i should of kept mine

its a 02 plate, checked the gumtree and flee bay not alot up.

Thanks

Quick question since we are on the subject...

with the shocks... if they're sitting on the top mounts inside the engine bay are they naffed or is it if they are sitting away from the top mounts they're naffed

Because mine currently sit 2 cm high of the mounts.

Not sure mate, when i jack my car up at the back my rear springs fall out and if i jack it up at the frount the spring hangs off the top mount with a 6/7 inch gap from the bottom of the spring to the bottom houseing on the shock.

meaning thay are well naffed and have been cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope this healped

Just re-read your post, my shocks sit about the same in the engine bay as do my palls golf and as did my bora, and when the wheels are turned one sits higher.

So i whould say if thay sit on the top mount thay are naffed????

i just done my 2 front struts & springs & 1 spring had snapped a coil off the top & a coil off the bottom & the strut was hard against the strut top the new 1ns have a gap around them. the only place i could get the std springs from was skoda if i remember they were £69 each
