Featured Replies

well, the T11a (white socket) only has one connection on the other side, whereas the t11b (red) has all of them, so i went for soclet T11b pin 6, fitted everything up, but it doesnt work!, VCDS reports :

nevermind! all sorted, just tooka while for the code to clear, it works perfectly :) really pleased

I Used T11b pin 6 :)

had the entire dash out but i think it was worth it, no splicing wires etc

Nice :)

What Guide did you use?

Is pin 6 bottom left of red connector then?

Anyone?

Nothing wrong with splicing wires anyhow if done properly. I fact your more likely to get a connection issue from one of our connectors than a permanently joined wire.

the plug is labelled with pin numers. I can't remember exactly where the pin is sorry dude. no I agree theres nothing wrong with splicing, I've done it many a time in the past, I just fancied doing it this way. and I don't like trailing wires round.

I didn't really use a quite. just what the manual said that came with the kit. although I didn't use no "poking spoons".

tech1e do you wrap the white wire in a sleeve when taking it through the grommet? if Si what do you use?

Matt

You have to extend the white wire, but as it goes through the grommet there is no need to sleeve it just run it up into the ECU loom.
