Hi all, following on from this thread I've tried to code my (only) key to my Polo using using Ross-Tech's guide. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/vw-remote-matching.html

Nothing happened - the key still doesn't work with my car. Anyone got any ideas? (I ask here as well as you guys seem more clue'd up on VAGCOM generally )

I can't do the key in the door thing as I've only one fob currently. :(

Did you try writing 0 to channel 0 as described at the bottom of the procedure?

I didn't, no.

But I've just tried again and it works! Thank you so much.

Now, I'm going to go and hang my head in a corner for my incompentance!
