Oil around egr valve

Featured Replies

Hi guys not the most mechanically minded but my vrs has cover 107k had a new turbo at 99k and waterpump I brought it on 106k on engine inspection I noticed oil around egr valve I gunked it and cleaned it and my friend told me there shouldn't be oil in them pipes should just be air. He then added it could be due to the old turbo bearing going so oil just remains in pipes but now egr valve are is free off oil but on top there a round think I'm not a machanic I'm sorry with a small hole you can tell the holes there from standard but is slowly dripping oil if that makes any sense at all please help

there will allways be some oil in there the amount will vary --if the oil is leaking from the two breather holes (front and back) below the vac cannister(flying saucer) you need a new egr valve or look up egr valve stealth mod not urgent but needs sorting
