hey all, sounds a strange one.. :wonder: but any idea where my ecu is located? is it in the car? where? or under the bonnet? the car is a tdi 110bhp on 2000 plate..

In the scuttle area (not in the engine bay, and not in the cabin!)

You need to remove both wiper arms, then pop off the scuttle panel. Unplug the two big connectors (you have to unlock them by sliding the purple sections out), then the ECU is held in by a tang in the side of it's chassis. Once you pull back the tang, the ECU will slide out of it's chassis. Done.
