Scratched alloys looking for replacements

Featured Replies

I have a red 2010 Octavia VRS and have knackered an alloy to the point of considering replacement/s. I'm also considering a remap but want some advice, being a colour blind git, on best choice of colour / make of alloy for the car and also like to hear of people's experience of additional cost on insurance (Direct Line???) after a remap?

Thanks

You'd be amazed at what a good wheel refurbisher can do. After the wife knackered all of mine, had them all re-done. The finish was far better than factory and only £50 a wheel.

With regards remap, I used to be stage 1 with Direct Line and the increase was negligible. As soon as I went for more mods, it shot up. With Chris Knott now who are a sponsor on here.

Speaking of wheel refurbs, do you think this is repairable?

Check out Lepsons in Gillingham who will be able to sort out repair/refurbishment of your alloy. As for remapping SHARK have a Kent distributor W8 performance who run the same car as you. Give Rob at W8 a call.

I'd say yes its repairable, but i'd not want to drive far on that tyre..
