As above ESP light has came on and the car wont rev at all. 2004 vrs all standard.

Fault codes?

Could be load wire from alternator, does the battery light come on with ignition?

nope only happens say after 30 minutes driving, forgot to mention the handbrake light also flashes

So the battery light doesn't come on?

Broken DFM wire at the connector on the bracket at front of gearbox.
