Air vent trim

Featured Replies

Hi guys...anyone know where I could get the little silver piece of trim for the air vent. Dealer wants €35 as they say I need a whole new vent...or would this be covered under warranty?

Why would it be covered under warranty?

Its not exactly a mechanical part and I fail to see how it would come off?

Scrap yard?

Or pay for a new vent I guess.

surely bits just can't just fall off and its ok for them to not try help rectify it?

The bit might just as easily fall off one in the dealerships forecourt/showroom! :bandit:

The middle one is a bitch to remove. You have to get the center console out and then the AC unit.

The ones on the sides are very easy.

To remove the middle one, you need 2 guys, 4 hands, 4 credit cards :)

Here are the critical points ;)

Fabia MK 2 2011 - For reasons to long to state I fitted new vents like the above pictures but threw away the bit that connects the vent to the fan (Plenium chamber).

Have been trying to find one but no luck. Does any one know the correct Skoda part number ? and do I require the complete assembly. (Iwould have thought not as I unclipped mine)
