how do you fit a turbo timer on a vrs

Featured Replies

i have a 51 plate octavia vrs and have got a apexi universal turbo timmer but does anyone know how to fit it up???

Stick it on ebay.

No-one uses turbo timers on these cars. I think Lloyd_VRS is the only member on here that has got one. If you're worried about the turbo bearings coking up then just drive slow for the last few miles.

They can invalidate your insurance as well as they leave the engine running after you've walked away from the car.

Me .?.?.?.? :D

Yeah mate .... Mines in with the clifford tho bud

Waste of money ;-)

Mine was freeeeeeeeeee :)

Well...... Free as it gets with my not so cheap

Alarm :D

i got this turbo timer for free and was told to get it fitted by a local skoda specalist as the has a oil and water cooled turbo?

Then sell it to a jap car owner and make yourself a profit. They are not needed on the K03S turbo.

The later models of Leon Cupra R have a small pump which circulates oil through the turbo after the engine is switched off but that is a different engine and a different turbo maybe this guy has got that engine fitted in his Skoda

Not worth fitting, just drive the last mile off boost or light throttle.

Exact words to me from a jap car specialist when I asked him the same were "there a waste of time and money" do you pull up to your drive at full throttle? The last mile or so you do should be at normal speeds so it'll be plenty cool enough. Sell it and buy something worthwhile.

what boost does the k03 run ????? as on my car i jus had a boost gauge fitted and it and on start up it runs 0.6 but once driving goes just over 1.5 psi ??

Plus you should really leave your car in gear. Id sell it.
