Fitting 'Puddle'/'Marker Lights'

Featured Replies

Hi, we have a 2011 SE estate, it has the puddle/markers in the front doors, but I was wondering if it was feasible to install them in the rear doors too.

Is the wiring in-situ already?, or of not, how far does it run?

Do the door cards have a 'cut-out' marked on the rear surface?

If it is do-able, does the improvement need 'turning on'?

Thanks Mike

I'll admit I hadn't looked (properly) at the rear, but in the front they're in the speakers.

So, maybe an alternative speaker grill, from a higher spec car?

Failing that, I'll look for some decent reflective tape for the inside faces of the door-edge

The wiring will not be there so a pair of looms will need to be made, then it will need coding with VCDS, finally the lights (and possibly speaker grill if you are correct about the mounting location) will need to be purchased so expect to pay around £50 for the bits and coding to be done.

Thankyou!

I've never seen an Octavia with rear door puddle lights, not even on the top spec L&K?
