Featured Replies

Hey Everyone..

I have just noticed that my Fabia vRS mk1 doesn't have a rear spoiler on it..

Is mine the only one that doesnt?

and, Where is my best place to see about getting one?

I have look on superskoda but they have loads on there and I want one that is OEM looks.

Any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks :)

It has, just looks like the wrong one for some reason. As for getting the correct one, eBay? Skoda? Chances are they'll not be many about on there own might have to get a boot with it on.

I am booked in for a warranty check up on Wednesday with Skoda so I shall enquire about it then. I am now kinda worried as I thought the spoilers weren't detachable?

They arnt. You'd need to refit one with something über strong, I think people have used tiger seal before, but don't quote me on that. Most body shops round here didn't fancy taking mine off to spray it.

Okay, I'll do a little investigation. My car has a HPI clear certificate but has a one year gap in its service history.. Do you reckon it could of been in a crash or something and had a standard hatch put it? :S

The paint on the spoilers tends to peel, so it could have been swapped for that? Wouldn't worry about it if the rest of it is kosha

Okay I'll chill out a sec ha ha.. Just waited a long time for the right car and then I find something wrong.. kinda gutting ha ha. Yeah it drives beautifully and everything is smooth!

I doubt if someone was lazy enough to change the boot with the wrong spoiler they would go to the trouble of replacing the badges on it, more likely another reason.

As for the super skoda one, it looks identical to my standard one how much is it?

Hmmm, that's a fair point! I know everything with the car mechanics wise is perfect because I paid for an AA inspection on it, so no doubts there.

Yeah.. as for the price.. its 149EURO's which is £120, + 24.99 EURO's which is £20.. so is a total of £140 :S

Id check with skoda or if you have a TPS local ask them for a price, Might not be too expensive.

Okay I shall do!

Thanks for the help Matt! I got a few questions about your Piper exhaust too which I'll PM to you if I may?

Yes mate no problem. I'm on my phone in bed just now though so I'll reply in the morning if that's cool?

Yeah no worries, I'll PM you tomorrow anyway!

I'm sorry but another quick questions if I may?

by TPS, do you mean the Trade Parts Specialists? If so, then it states on their website that:

"The TPS network is dedicated to supplying the needs of the independent motor repairer.

Please note that it is a service that is NOT available to the general public. If you require Volkswagen Group parts please contact your local Authorised Repairer who will be happy to source and supply any part you require."

So surely I can't obtain parts for myself?

Oh :-/ iv never been on there website, they have a office down the road from me, I just order and collect from there. Never been asked if I'm trade or anything. Might be worth popping in of you have one local & ask. They might just do cash sales to the public or something.

Cheers Matt! I'll let you know if I get anywhere with this
