Cd changer trouble (play and eject)

Featured Replies

The other day a few of the cds in the boot changer came up with cd error on the dash and wouldn't play.

Plan was take em out give it a blow out to clear any dust and try again.

However not only wont it play the cds it wont eject them either. Just makes a noise when i press eject then lights up all the buttons in turn and doesn't give em the cd.

Any ideas?

Would this be better off in the ICE section?

On mine you then have to then press the buttons as to which CD you want to eject, press and hold eject for a few seconds and it should spit them all out.

When the buttons are pressed to eject the cds the changer makes a few whirring noises, flashes the button on the front then does nothing.

my 2nd changer has now expired with exactly the same problem.my garage have changed 3 this year to vw golfs and i have been told that the unit is too small for 6cds,the mechanism and drive etc. This unit is a major problem so i,m now going back to loading the head unit, the old fashioned way.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!!
