Really confused by the necessary cable/software for VCDS so don't know what to look for on the VCDS list. Hence the post.

I am going to be fitting a VAG bluetooth unit to my car and understand that you need to unlock certain functionality with Maxidot and the steering wheel controls. Is there anyone in the Derbyshire area who has the necessary equipment to do this?

Hi, sorry can't find the option to PM you. Id like to know if youve still got the VW prgramming tool as im looking to install door puddle lights into a friends 08 passat but they need activating. We'll pay for the help ofc and your very close to us. Cheers

Yes, I still have VCDS and I should be able to help you.

You need to make a minimum number of posts (5?) before you can use the PM system. Go and make a few posts then drop me a PM when you can.

Thanks, this has been a sticking point on the Passat so far. You will of course be rewarded for you efforts Just need to make sure any programming has the right coding for his car. I know with tech 2 its just drop down menus etc and you turn stuff on or off lol

Just nipping out to have my newly fitted rain sensor altered so it closes the windows when it rains if the cars left locked

IIRC it's just a case of ticking the puddle lights box in the CCM coding.
