Hey guys,

I own a Seat Leon with the above engine, obviously it's the same as the Skoda 1.6TDI CR. I just wondered if anyone could tell me the correct oil?

Does it need to VW 507.00 spec? I thought that was just for long life servicing, but have also seen people say you need that oil if you have a DPF.

Is the Mobil1 Oil any better than the Castrol Edge, or is there not much difference? Are there any other manufacturers anyone would recommend?

Also, could anyone suggest a cheap place to buy oil from? Opie Oils have been the cheapest I found so far.

Check out the price of the correct oil for your needs in Asda.

The price can often beat using a Local Motor Factors.

Worth looking at Tesco as well, some days & even just for a half day, the price (bargain) can be amazing as they have their Supermarket Price wars and try to undercut each other.

Its that or someone is pricing it up wrong!!
