i have a 2005 octavia 2.0 tdi over the last 2 years if i push my engine the turbo kicks out . when in turn the engine off and on again the turbo kicks back in have taken to a few garages with different results . I do not want to spend a grand to change the turbo if it turns out to be something simple. Any one had simular problems . Advice much appreciated

Has it been scanned with Vag-com ?

As Luke has said. It needs diagnosing first, its limp moding for a reason and being heavily influenced by electronics it could be one of a few things. Start with the vagcom route first.

50p says the veins on the turbo are sticking causing it overboost, so it goes into limp mode.
