Electronic prob's with wiper system.

Featured Replies

Hello friends,

I have a Yeti 1.2TSI (model 2012).

Immediately after delivery of the car (somewhere close to half a year ago), began a strange phenomenon - all the vehicle's propulsion, rear wiper wiping operation was one of his own.

Front wipers often would jump slightly up and then back where they belong.

I know that the system is supposed to cost the wipers only work if they are in - if not, they are at the bottom of the window.

Attached to the vehicle computer diagnostics (licensed Skoda garage of course), trying to locate the fault and is not found - time after time, again and again.

Six weeks after delivery of the vehicle - car audio system upgrade was introduced, which consisted of Component Front / amplifier and subwoofer. The radio is the original disc - Amundsen.

The garage says that the installing of the audio system is causing failure, so We disconnected the receiver and we pulled out the Fuses, which does not solves the problem - that still exists.

The vehicle is (for the second time in two weeks) over two days in the garage and the problem is present.

Of course the problem repeatedly thrown to the installer, when installing the system - worked for Audi / Volkswagen / Seat / Skoda and Porsche - was installing licensed by the importer (in Israel).

Garage argue that movement is a natural in front wipers, wipers reset operation that occurs on the third drive of the vehicle.

In my opinion this is a lie, in a friend's YETI - it does not happen. We tested it more than once.

Immigrants wipers him up only if they are in work. Any other situation - terms at the bottom of my front windshield without moving an inch.

Moreover, the various visits and many tests done - and twice was unable to connect the garage's diagnostic computer - computer accessories to the vehicle's comfort. Actually was not this or that communication between them, even after the workshop update their computer software newest.

I am aware that this phenomenon happens / happened Golf MK4 and in MK6.

In a conversation with a local taxi driver - uploaded by him that he had a similar phenomenon in his Octavia, but with whom she appeared as she also disappeared suddenly.

It should be noted that the problem appeared before installing the audio system,

It appears there is also a disconnect amp and Fuses - as I mentioned earlier.

What do you think could be the problem?

We tested the command and control lever handle itself - the systems work well, they do not malfunction.

Garage do not know what to look and certainly not solve the problem, and I'm starting to lose patience.

TNX,

Orel J.

I suspect you have an ECU Controller failure, either related to the Central Electrics - Controller 09 or your Media player (Radio) - Controller 2E.

I suggest you contact someone in your area with VCDS / VAG-COM to arrange Output Tests to assist diagnose the precise fault. I see you're located in Israel and our Briskoda website does not list anyone with VCDS there - it may well be you'll have to troll your local VW, Audi, or Seat Forums to find someone in your area. Good luck!

Is this not normal behaviour, intended to prolong wiper blade life by making sure they don't continually sit with the blade at the same angle all the time when parked? Mine does it.

I'm not sure I fully understand the issue, but ours do a little skip when we first set off.

I've read and reread the original posting, and think this is his "complaint":

Garage argue that movement is a natural in front wipers, wipers reset operation that occurs on the third drive of the vehicle.

Now if I'm right, then this is normal behavior.

Yes,mine does it , to stop the blades being stuck over on one side.

Very clever really ,unless your blades are stuck to the screen when it's below zero.

snap. Ours does this also. No fault, by design, hence why no error codes. Possible induces by a software update.

I presume that confirms what lots of us have said.

As all have said this is normal behaviour and I think the rear one does it as well as I sometimes hear a clunk from the wiper area when starting off. Haven't checked the handbook as I can't be bothered and must admit I ignore anything not considered major ie wheels falling off :o
