Autosmart G101 APC

Featured Replies

Hi guys, recently picked seem of this up after hearing about its wonderful versatility.

My alloys were looking very dirty the other day so I diluted some down to around 1:10 and sprayed one alloy, let it soak for about 2 mins and I could see the dirt slipping off them, even round the back and inside the alloy, after soaking for a bit I gave it a quick agitate with my alloy brush and a rinse, they came up spotless!

So a very good product and a lot cheaper than the usual alloy wheel cleaner you find in most brick and motor shops.

One thing to note that if it's not diluted enough it can be quite dangerous and it's not the best chemical to get your skin.

Anyone else used this and any pointers or tips and what else I can use it on?

It's a degreaser isn't it? Will pull the oils out of your skin, not good (done it before!).

As the name suggests, it's an all purpose cleaner! Diluted enough it can be used on most things. It'll pull wax/sealant off paintwork though, so only use it i you intend to re-seal/wax afterwards.

Don't buy too much and leave it sitting.

I had a couple of bottles, and because it dilutes so well, one of them was left sitting unused for a few months.

One day I notice that it had been leaking.

It had eaten right through the plastic bottle it came in!!

As said...Its just APC

I use Sainsburys APC @ 19p for 500 ml

Only use it if you want to strip off any waxes or sealers

OR Clean the wheel arches..Its great for that
