My yeti looks like Alice cooper!

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I've had my yeti 7 months now and like the title says I've noticed this problem which I driving me crazy, when it rains the car end up with black runs all down the sides of every window, I guess it's the rubber seals that are causing it but I thought after this length of time it would go.

But it still keeps doing it when ever it rains, it makes it look like Alice cooper.

Is there anything I could put on them to stop this or is it going to be the norm with that colour.

Cheers for your help all.

Hi I have a white car too (and its not a yeti - still waiting for that!) I have the same problem.

Its obviously rubber residue, and I agree its unsightly.

Don't know how to stop it though...

Did You try glicerine?

Its avaliable in pharmacies over here, and its common for using on cars due to winter icing of the rubber seals on doors.

No never tried it. Do you just wipe it onto the seals then?

I have this too on my Candy White Yeti ... had a Candy White Octavia vRS before that and never had this issue. They wash off easily but still unsightly.

I have it on excellent authority that Alice Cooper relied extensively on KY Jelly.

There.

Now Bodgog - over to you.

Was this the voice of experience?

You're Llanigrahhamm, not Godbod......

But I CAN recommend KY jelly from personal experience........... things do go in easier.

Knowing where you've stuck your arm, I'm sure you're right! :drunk:
