See through fluid leak near Cat! Please help!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I pulled up on my drive this afternoon, in my 2006 Fabia vRS, to find 2 mins later that there is a puddle of see through fluid leaking from the car. The fluid was leaking from just next to the Cat on the passanger side. The liquid is see through, doesnt smell and does not have the texture of oil... I quickly took the car up the road, it starts fine (like usual) and brakes fine (like ususal) I tried the brakes as i thought it could be a brake fluid leak...

I am stumped and dont want to drive the car without knowing what is wrong with it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

EDIT: Just spoke to my dad and he thinks it could be the Air Con as i havent used it in a long time.... Is this correct?

Pretty sure it's from the air con and it's nothing to worry about

Thnaks for the response, this is what my dad has just suggested!

Aircon water drain it worried me a few years ago on a previous car as it was the first time I had aircon on a car

Cheers! I feel like a bit of an idiot now!

Better to be safe than sorry.

I wouldn't. I try to learn something new nearly every day. At the moment learning shaving with a double edge safety razor ( such a better shave than modern multi bladed razors). And starting next week trying to get my head round jogularity and average speed tables for historic road rallies.

+1 for double edged safety razors :)
