I have a problem with my vehicle, when I access the tdi timing on vcds, it shows the timing too retarded to plot, however, the blocks 2 and 9 show 44 and 134 respectivley.

I have tested my software on another vehicle and it works fine.

I have also done a full check for fault codes, and the only one it picked up was a radio fault, which I knew about from previous scans,

Anyone know what might be the problem

Can you confirm that you are in basic mode?

For a fuel temperature reading of 134 the target would be 47. The allowable range would be 28 to 78.

Take a look at field 7. A reading of 73 corresponds to a coolant temperature of 85°C. The CTS is dual channel, so you can see a warm engine on the dash, but the ECU can see something completely different.

yes,gone engine, measuring blocks, I then get the blocks where 2 and 9 are located,then switch to basic's all blocks still there, but within a split second block 2 reading disappears, before you can click tdi timing.

The graph just then shows dots from block 9 on the bottom of the graph and no measurement from 2.

I tried it on a mates car tonight and his was 51 and 108 plotted to the graph with converging yellow lines, so the software must be working ok, any ideas ?
