Hi all,

recently acquired Octavia EleganceTDi, 110 bhp, 51 plate, 81k clocked.

High mileage but a bargain, and very pleased with it, apart from this problem - intermittently there is a VERY annoying rattle from somewhere in the glovebox, and no it isn't a lost biro or anything similair !

Have tried everything to stop it but no luck yet.

Has anyone else had this happen, and found a solution ?

Would really appreciate replies here, as it is driving us nuts.

is it definately the glove box?

I had a similar noise but found it was the passenger door speaker grill.

I've got 5 English pounds here saying that the rattle stops, or at least isnt as bad, if you fill the glove box with some weight. Mine's the same, it's the platstic that holds the door shut. Open it and have a wiggle....
