DRL bulb replacement.

Anyone care to spill as to how to go about doing it? (Just swapping like for like - not a fancy 'blue' whatever). An 'idiot's guide' would help...

Vrs ?

The procedure is the same as the front fog light bulb replacement.

The official way (as detailed in the manual) is via an access panel just next to the fog/DRL cluster.

The easier and unoffical way is to partially remove the wheel arch liner and access it from behind allowing much more room.

Cheers. The 'unofficial way' sounds better

I agree - going along the wheel arch liner route is much easier. I tried to remove the access panel a couple of weeks ago to change the DRL bulb, but gave up and partially loosened the wheel arch liner - all done in about five minutes.

Your car gas kindly decided to make itself look 50% better without costing you a penny - why on earth would you want to undo that? Rather than replace the bulb, just snip the wire to the opposite side DRL and hey presto........

Please let's not turn this into a DRL usefulness debate, there are plenty of those already!

Along with petrol vs. diesel, manual vs. DSG and Race Blue vs. any other colour it'll never get resolved on a public forum :giggle:
