so i finally got round to fitting my drls, and following various threads it was quite easy to do.

first off a pair of 'audi style drls from fleabay and fitted into lower grills each side. dead easy!

then getting a wire in place...not so easy but again thanks to forums i found a way!

now the good bit!

there is a terminal on the back of the light switch marked 'tfl' which gives live feed when ignition is on but turns the feed off when lights are turened on. Exactly what i needed!

the 'tfl' terminal however has no wire going to it, so a trip to the scrappy got me this

A light switch plug from a seat. i just cut the plastic to get the wire and terminal i needed and slotted it into the hole in my switch, soldered all bits and hey presto job done!

Use the 'direct' link to the image to embed as an image.

I looks like it works pretty good - my only concern is the vertical space between the headlights and the DRLs - I can't remember what the law believes the gap should be - i'm sure others will know!

didnt know there was a legal requirement! just based the position on what i had seen on other cars. some seem to have drls within the headlight and others set into the bumper below

Time to get the ruler out eh? Lol

Though looking at that pic I would have thought you tick all the boxes with that position...
