just wondering does anybody know would this be a worth while mod to do .. i have an r32 mrk4 airbox and piping at my disposal plus an r32 maf,, would fitting this on my 03 vrs make any difference ?

No do not fit the MAF as that will just drive more airflow that the car is not designed to take unless you have fitted a K04 turbo and rest of the kit to accomadate the K04 turbo as believe the R32 MAF to be 3".

Also no point to fit R32 airbox they are the same as a VRS apart from the plastic snorkel and the way it fits on the golf is different to VRS in that the snorkel leads up to the rear of the light and through a vent in the gril. The VRS does not have this and the airflow will not work as no space for the snorkel to pull in air. Better off modding your VRS airbox and fitting 3" pipping to the airbox and take it down to the grill.
