more late 80s wiring

Featured Replies

hello again,

this time its the horn, i'm a little confused by this though.

if i connect the horn direct to the battery it makes the noise it should make.

however, if i press the steering wheel horn switch the relay clicks and the horn makes a quiet pop noise. am i right i thinking the interior side of the wiring is probably ok but everything from the relay onwards is a bit screwed and only a tiny amount of power is getting to the horn?

could this be the relay itself happily clicking but not enough? if my understanding is right thats a possiblity? that the horn is popping seems like its just enough not getting enough power?

any pointers appreciated?

cheers,

toby

not the relay, stuck a paper clip between 30 and 87 on the relay socket (helpful on-relay diagram eh?) and the horn clicked some more. guess its a bad ground now - any help on key bad ground suspects appreciated mind?

cheers,
