Internet explorer freezing, Why?

Featured Replies

Internet Explorer more often than not will stop responding, but only when I come onto Briskoda.

Any idea why this happens, and only on this forum?

Once I've restarted the program it's ok.

This is the only website that I have had a problem with, I don't really want to change browsers.

MickA funny you say that mine does the same, although I must say not all the time, I have even had Briskoda not responding.

Please bin Internet explorer. It's a hideous badly written poorly constructed and cobbled together piece of software. Use Safari or google chrome and you'll see a fantastic improvement in reliability and stability.

Isn't IE the tool that Micro$oft gives you to download other browsers?

Moved to tech shed

Yes,IE9 is complete and utter rubbish,IE8 was miles better.

^ ^ ^ agreed.

IE8 - no problems, just a bit slow

IE9 - unable to print from web (script error), still a bit slow and freezes occasionally

Google Chrome - no problems and noticeably faster than IE

Agreed, so I moved to Firefox. IE8 remains as a second browser .

Nope, I downloaded it with Safari. I haven't touched a Product of Microsoft in years!

Apple till I die :-)

Got the same problem with briskoda forum. It's been so annoying that I installed Chrome. However I did some time age a complete cleaning with removing all files from temp internet files, cookies, etc. and it seems it helped.

Me too

Apple currently use an automated testing tool that requires them to jailbreak their own products for it to be installed.

I only keep IE for browsing the Win Update site.

I am MORE THAN a little annoyed to find IE9 tucked away at the bottom of the list of "Critical" updates recently; and after this weeks sneak install of Skype through the enterprise update system, I will be keeping a VERY close eye on everything being offered by the update system.

I would put money on this being the problem, try clearing out your temporary internet files and then see if it works.
