Hello all!!

What a great find this forum is!!

I am currently in the market for a new motor and really like the Superb 4x4 Estate. Took one out for a test drive a couple of weeks ago in 2.0 TD CR 170PS Elegance guise and fell in love with the car.

The only thing that is putting me off is the kerbweight of the car. We have a caravan with a maximum weight of 1597 kg, and the kerbweights of the models I have looked at are 1579kg for the 170PS 4x4 and 1592kg for the 140PS 4x4 DSG.

I have read conflicting reports around how the kerbweights are measured.

Has anyone out there had there Superb on a weighbridge? Or do the weights on the VIN plate correspond with what is displayed in the brochure??

Many thanks in advance if anyone can help
