Vacuum Block Differences BLT/ASZ

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if they're the same? The little black vac box on top of the offside strut. I've got n75 issues and the boxes look identicle with the same code beginning with p on the top, I just wondered if someone could confirm for me :)

Thanks!

What kind of faults are you experiencing?

Over boost, turbos only 5 months old so it's not sticky vanes.

Requesting 1.4 bar and spiking to 1.6/1.7 before bringing itself back. A suggestion was the n75 was being slow to react, there's no issues with the vac lines themselves and the actuator moves freely.

The EGR is vacuum operated on the ASZ and electronically operated on the BLT, so there might be differences.

My egr has a vac line on top but there's a flow sensor somewhere. But yeah that's my main reason for asking as I know there are differences in the egr set up, there were some vac line diagrams kicking around a while ago I've not been able to find!

Quick google has brought up loads on eBay from audis and all sorts so it looks like its a general part across a fair few of the vag range :)

Thanks for your help mate :)

Ok so I've had a squint at the unit I have fitted, if someone had an asz vac line diagram that'd really help?

It seems on mine vac line 3 is blanked off, perhaps on the asz this is the asv valve vac line which is electronic on the BLT!

I've attached some pics of mine I anyone could see if it matches their asz one?

Mine visually looks exactly the same so perhaps the only difference is vac line 3 is capped off on yours, and on an ASZ all 6 lines are in use? What's the part number of yours? Might be on an end?

That's what I'm hoping Jason. Makes it easier to find another to try, I'll go look for a part number, is that code starting PA66 not it?

Should start with your chassis number, although may not if a generic part. Might start with 038 as a lot of engine stuff does. Will be 3 blocks of 3 characters then a letter on the end, possibly two.

Foun the p/n it's 6q0906625© located above the electric plug.

And another code the other side of the electric plug is 400434(D).

Yours is a 6Q chassis, so that will be it. :) Question is where the same 906 625 part number exists in other platforms. Eg: The fabia version should start 6Y0 in comparison to your 6Q0, but I would expect both to be the same really.

Asz and BLT do share the same vac block pipe 3 is blanked on the BLT is the only difference!

Think I've found a donor one too so fingers crossed its that!

I was wrong, although they share part numbers and the vac connections fit the electric connector block is slightly different! There's a notch in mine preventing it from mates one from his ASZ :(
