mk5 Golf GT TDI Front Seats (From 3dr)

Featured Replies

Bought 2nd hand from a guy on ED38 in October 2011, they originally came from a '55plate 3dr GT TDI Golf

They are in Very good condition (although there is a little wear on the Drivers side bolster but it looks worse in the pictures than it actually is) and both come with airbags which to my knowledge havent been deployed and are wired up with no warning lights.

Both seats have lumbar support & the airbag harness is intact. Both seats are Height Adjustable/slide forward & backwards and recline. Another benefit to 3dr seats is they lift and fold forwards making it easier to vac the carpet under the seats :)

I've copied the thread from when I fitted them to my Octavia to show the differences between the OEM Elegance seats vs the GT TDI seats.

Here is the comparison between the Octavia Elegance seats and the Golf GT TDi seats (Octavia, darker cloth)

The fitting process only took about 20minutes and was really easy,

The + for the Golf seats are they seem firmer to sit in at first but soon feel comfier, they also have a little more support for the lower back and more adjustability in the sliding forward/backward motion, the base also feels to tilt up a little more to the front and for SWMBO and I they are proving to be a better seat.

The - for the Golf seats are they don't have as much support around the higher part of your back/shoulder area but it's not something that we currently miss.

Now, The reason for sale. Our ongoing money pit has sprung another leak in the roof and as I rarely use the car anymore & my OEM seats are cluttering up the garage its time to sell some things that aren't NEEDED to top up our savings.

These are the comfiest seat's I've sat in, IMO they offer the best compromise between Sporty/Comfy seats

I shall be removing them from my car tomorrow and will be going into storage in the garage (wrapped in bin liners) and ready for collection as soon as you are ready. (to keep the good condition)

These are heavy and are for collection only (S36 9NA) North Sheffield

Thats something else that attracted me to the GT TDI seats instead of the GTI/Recaro seats as most people upgrade to them in the Golf world. I don't understand why though, these seats are very comfortable and very supportive

Have you not go the rear bench? I know it wouldn't fit, but considering taking the cloth of and trying to make it fit the original fabia seats.

Afraid not, I only have the 2 front seats. I sold the rear bench as it didn't fit the Octavia.
