Price from Skoda Full service and Timing belt with waterpump

Featured Replies

Now for the "real" prices etc.

Specialist Cars Skoda Aberdeen

As I have only just got car I though it was a good idea to do some preventative work.

Octy was running well - avg 50mpg. The brakes were not quite 100% I felt.

(Still trying to max the milage - its awsome after 21mpg avg!)

Car in at 8AM. Called to be asked if wanted brake fluid changing, I said yes. Called 1.15PM Car ready.

Running smoother and quieter with better brake feel. A bit firmer. I checked and pollen filter been replaced though not with carbon one.

I haven't looked at other filter yet to see if changed but no reason to suspect otherwise.

A fair price I felt with very good service. Car was given a quick wash and hoover - Will ask not to be done after I get around to correcting

paint - lots of swirls (NOT caused by John Clark Skoda). Minor corrosion on rear disc at edge was only advice.

I will go with Skoda next time. I would happily recommend John Clark Skoda.

That's a good price, even with Skoda's new 'National Pricing' it comes out at more than you paid:

£30 in your pocket!

Why did they charge you for 2 waterpumps and what filter costs £22?

Think bottom combined price was labour, Dont know which filter tho..... anyone?

Cabin - Fuel (Diesel) - Air or Oil

Most likely the fuel filter. I take it the 'oil system cleaner' was an engine flush, did they ask you if you wanted that done? I would have gone nuts if they'd done a flush on mine without asking as I would have said no. Engine flushes 'can' do more harm than good.

What is the 'repair kit' as well?

Repair kit - Timing belt?

Timing belt is already listed (3rd from the bottom)...

Timing belt is already listed (3rd from the bottom)...

Thats just the labour for fitting the cambelt kit,the repair kit will be the cambelt kit. (i think) ;) Thats a good price for the cambelt kit,i intend to use my £100 of vouchers from the service plan to put towards buying the cambelt kit & water pump for my octy when i change it myself.

That makes sense, add up the 'repair kit', 'waterpump' and 'timing belt and water pump' and it totals £320 which with the £30 saving he's made over Skoda's National Pricing adds up to roughly their advertised cambelt and waterpump deal at £369.

Bizarre that they refer to it as a repair kit. :S
